The Eurosystem’s Instant Payments Regulation (IPR) marks a major turning point for European banks.
What began as a regulatory requirement to enable instant payments has become a catalyst for new business models, faster customer service, and competitive shifts across the market. Instant payment capabilities can be used to deliver new customer experiences, strengthen fraud prevention, and improve liquidity management.
But the operational challenges of moving to real-time settlement are also revealing the urgency for payments infrastructure modernisation. The stakes are high. Modernising for IPR can help European banks capture new revenue streams, deepen customer loyalty, and secure long-term competitive advantage in an evolving payments landscape.
Join ACI Worldwide in this 90-minute live session, where industry experts will examine the practical implications of IPR, cover the risks of fragmented system upgrades, and explore the benefits of unified payments. You’ll leave this digital showcase with a new understanding of the strategic opportunities for banks that use IPR compliance as a foundation for innovation.
Key questions we’ll discuss:
What are the biggest operational hurdles in transitioning to real-time settlement, and how are banks overcoming them?
How can banks avoid fragmentation when upgrading legacy systems for instant payments?
What new fraud risks are introduced by instant payments, and how are banks adapting their prevention strategies?
